According to researchers, humans can run as fast as 40 miles an hour and an average of 12-15 miles an hour when talking about sprint speeds. Not bad huh? But to tell you the truth, there are some animals that seem to be created for the sole purpose of being mad speed machines. Some reign the sky, others on land, and some at water. Here are the fastest animals in the world.


This speed fish came from the family Istiophoridae that consist of about 10 more species. Its common name, Marlin is derived from its resemblance to a sailor’s marlin spike. It can swim at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
